24歳の日本人男性です。この男性はセブの有名学校の手伝いをしていたそうです。彼がバイクタクシーに乗ったサリナスドライブは、ITパークの前の道路です。ITパークは治安がよいと言われている場所です。学校もたくさんあります。
近くのモールに行くように伝えたけど、連れて行かれたのはサン アントニオ ビレッジ。裏道で使われる人通りが少ないエリアです。それでお金を要求されたようです。つまり、語学学校があって、日本人留学生が普通に歩いているようなところ起きた事件です。セブでは、運が悪いとこのようなトラブルに巻き込まれます…。
渋滞が多いセブではバイクタクシーはすごく便利なんです。安いですしね。セブに慣れてくると留学生も利用します。ただ、事故もありますし、料金は乗車時の交渉なので、軽いボッタクリは日常茶飯事です。今回のような大きな事件は今までなかったので、業界関係者もショックを受けています。
万が一、セブで強盗にあったときは大人しく現金を渡してください。現金を持ち歩かないのが一番よいのですが、今回のように100ペソ渡して逆上されると最悪ですね…。難しいですね。海外に慣れた方は、強盗に襲われたときのために別の財布を携帯しています。

For giving only P100 Japanese shot by robber

CEBU, Philippines- A Japanese national was injured after an angry robber shot him in the thigh Sunday afternoon for giving only P100 during a robbery incident in Barangay Apas, Cebu City.
Kota Lijima, 24, of Nogano Togakushi, Japan, was held at gunpoint by unidentified robber who demanded cash and valuables from him. However, Lijima only pulled out P100 bill from his pocket and gave it to the robber.
The angry robber refused to get the money and demanded more but the victim cried for help alerting the people nearby. This prompted the robber to shoot Lijima in the left thigh before he left on board a motorcycle.
Police Officer 3 Edward Escultor, of the Theft and Robbery Section, said the victim was walking along Salinas Drive in Barangay Lahug when the robber offered him a ride. Thinking that it was a motorcycle-for-hire, the Japanese national boarded and asked the driver to bring him to a mall nearby. However, the man brought him instead to San Antonio Village in Barangay Apas where the alleged robbery happened.
“Basin nagtuo to siya nga jackpot kay foreigner man,” said Escultor.

The unidentified burglar scaled into the hospital’s administration office and took an iPad, cellphone and P300 cash owned by Sonia Dejacto. A government-owned Lenovo laptop worth P33,500 was also taken. Chief Inspector David Señor, chief of the TRS, said the burglar went around the four sections in the administration office, taking away valuable items.
Security officer Albino Parba discovered the burglary at 8 a.m. yesterday and reported the incident to the police.Police investigators eye an inside job because of a duplicate key left by the burglar. (FREEMAN)
